Temp: Reversing thermometers if tabulated to hundredth of degree Celcius Bucket thermometer (surface) if tabulated to tenths of degree Celcius. Salinity: Guildline Autosal Model 8400 salinometer Salinities reported in parts per thousand were estimated from measured conductivity ratios using International Oceanographic Tables published jointly by N.I.O and UNESCO 1966, Rev. 1968. Conductivity ratio reported is the ratio of conductivity of the sample to that of standard sea water at 20 degrees Celcius. Sigma-t values computed using UNESCO 1973 formula. Oxygen: The dissolved oxygen content (ml/l) was measured on shipboard by Winkler's method using 50ml samples but modified by using reagents recommended by Carritt, D.E. and Carpenter, J.H., J. Mar. Res. 24;286-318,1966. Meteorological: Cloud amounts expressed in eights and wind speed in knots. NOTE: The position given is an estimate based on an average of stations FR50 and FR52. *END OF HEADER 1. 15.23 0.50881 16.544 11.82 8.79
