During cast #99 the rosette hit the deck; a log entry indicates no damage was found and CTD data loo However, comparisons with bottles show that both conductivity channels were affected. The differences between CTD salinity channels differ from what the post-cruise calibration shows, so that something other than calibration drift affected salinity values. The secondary salinity was selected for both sections with no correction made to events #1-99 and +0.0087psu for events #103-260. This correction does mean raising the secondary salinity by 0.0057 more than the post-cruise calibra but it is clear that something was going on beyond calibration drift. There is so evidence of any corresponding change in the difference between the two temperature chann CTD salinity values are considered less reliable than usual, so are reported with 3 decimal places o Dissolved oxygen recalibration was based on sampling during 2 casts using an offset found during a previous use.
