NOTE: While the SBE fluorescence data are expressed in concentration units, they do not always compare well to extracted chlorophyll samples, particularly for casts far from shore. It is recommended that users check extracted chlorophyll values where available. There were 2 WetLabs CStar transmissometers in use during this cruise: Channel Transmissometer refers to sensor #1185DR (650nm - red) Channel Transmissometer:Green refers to sensor #1883DG (530nm - green) For comparison with other Institute of Ocean Sciences cruises, note that the transmissometer wavelength is 650nm unless otherwise stated. There was only 1 cast with dissolved oxygen sampling but that was sufficient to show consistency with the previous cruise (2023-026) when there was more sampling, so recalibration of SBE dissolved oxygen nwas based on 2023-026. The SBE DO sensor has a fairly long response time so data accuracy is not as high when it is in motion as it is during stops for bottles. This will be especially true when vertical DO gradients are large. There was only 1 cast with dissolved oxygen sampling, so there are too few data to make an estimate of errors in SBE DO. However, the results from below 200db do suggest that the sensor was working very well with differences <0.006mL/L. Above that level differences were <0.04mL/L which is typical of near-surface performance.
