All samples were returned to the Institute of Ocean Sciences and they were analyzed using an Astoria-Pacific Analyzer following methods described in IOS Nutrient Methods (1996) Barwell-Clarke, J. and F. Whitney. For details see document QF2023-025_NUTS*.xlsx. Chlorophyll samples were filtered onto 25mm GF/F filters after collection, and immediately frozen and stored in a -80C freezer. All samples were returned to the Institute of Ocean Sciences and analyzed 2 months after the cruise on a Turner Trilogy7200-000 fluorometer using methods described in Holm-Hansen et al. (1965). Fluorescence readings taken before and after sample acidification were used tp calculate chlorophyll and phaeopigment concentrations. NOTE: Flags and comments apply to chlorophyll values only. The bottle cast sometimes preceded and sometimes followed the CTD cast. The Event Numbers used are those for the CTD casts, but times are those when the bottle samples were taken. Despite the time difference and possible depth difference, the Extracted Chlorophyll samples were close to those of CTD fluorescence, with the ratio FL/CHL ranging from 0.8 to 2.2. In a typical pattern for these fluorometers, the higher ratios come from cases where CHL<1.5ug/L. Oxygen:Dissolved, Conductivity and Fluorescence:URU:Wetlabs data are nominal and unedited except that some records were removed in editing temperature and salinity. No salinity and dissolved oxygen sampling was done while SBE0334 was in use.
