Samples were transferred to a temperature-controlled room for storage until they were analyzed. Samples were analyzed onshore, in a temperature-controlled lab on a Guildline AutoSalinometer Model 8400B (SN: 73274), which was standardized with IAPSO standard seawater (OSIL, batch P166, expiry 6 April 2025, salinity 34.995 PS All samples were run within three months of collection (November 2023) back at the Institute of Ocean Sciences. Precision was determined by collecting 10% of samples as replicates to give a pooled standard deviation (Sp). The secondary temperature and salinity channels were selected for all casts. The salinity compared well with bottle samples. There was no calibration sampling for dissolved oxygen, but surface oxygen saturation looks reasonable.
