There is 1.6m of 5cm pipe from the hull to the Moyno 2L6 SSQ pump and the water is then pumped approximately 26 metres through a 3.8cm stainless steel pipe up to the main lab. The system pressure is regulated by a 3.8cm Singer 106RPS valve. In the lab, the seawater flows directly through the Seabird model 21 Sea-cat thermosalinograph and the exhaust goes directly overboard. TSG Data Processing ------------------- There was no loop sampling, intake temperature sensor or flow-rate meter. A comparison of TSG temperature and salinity was made with 18 co-incident CTD casts. When a few outliers were removed the TSG temperature in the lab was higher than the CTD temperature by a median of ~0.35C and TSG salinity was lower than CTD salinity by a median of ~0.073psu, but standard deviations were large. These results are fairly close to the comparison from cruise 2022-070 which included more points of comparison, so the 2022-070 recalibration was applied to these TSG data as well. A proxy for intake temperature was created by subtracting 0.4C from the lab temperature. Temperature:Primary - The temperature data from the lab were recalibrated based on comparison with CTD data to create a proxy for intake temperature.
