Dissolved oxygen was calibrated using the method described in SeaBird Application Note #64-2, June 2012 revision, except that a small offset in the fit was allowed. The SBE DO sensor has a fairly long response time so data accuracy is not as high when it is in motion as it is during stops for bottles. This will be especially true when vertical DO gradients are large. Based on tests run during a previous cruise using the same CTD equipment, downcast Oxygen:Dissolved:SBE data are considered, very roughly, to be: ±0.6 mL/L from 0 to 10db ±0.4 mL/L from 10 to 75db ±0.2 mL/L from 75 to 100db WARNING: The pH:SBE:Nominal data should be used with caution; no field calibration data are available.
