The conductivity and salinity from 15 casts were out of line with near-by casts with salinity differing by roughly 6psu. The cause of the problem in discussed in the processing report but no clear answer emerged. For 4 of the casts with bad conductivity good upcast data were available, so the upcast data were prepared for archiving with special channel names to make it clear where the data came from.
