For details including a duplicate analysis, see document QF2016-41OXY*.xls. Salinity samples were collected in 200 mL type ll glass bottles with disposable nylon inserts and screw caps supplied by Ocean Scientific International Limited. They were analyzed in a temperature-controlled lab at IOS on a Guildline 8400B Salinometer (S/N 68572) standardized with IAPSO standard seawater 51 to 56 days after collection. For details see document QF2016-41SAL*.xlsx. Nutrient samples were collected in plastic tubes and quick frozen in aluminum blocks stored in -20 freezer. All analysis was performed on frozen samples. They were analyzed using an Astoria analyzer following methods described in IOS Nutrient Methods (1996) Barwell-Clarke and Whitney. For details including a precision and accuracy statement, see document NUTS_QF2016-41*.xlsx. References: 1. Barwell-Clarke, J. and Whitney, F. 1996. For details on how the transmissivity calibration parameters were calculated see the document in folder "\cruise_data\documents\transmissivity". Dissolved oxygen was calibrated using the method described in SeaBird Application Note #64-2, June 2012 revision. WARNING: The pH:SBE:Nominal data should be used with caution; no field calibration data were available at the time of processing. Calibration is required for each cast to get absolute values, although general trends within a cast are likely real. Channel pH:SBE was removed from events 12, 13 and 14 because it was apparent that the sensor was not well hydrated. For details on the processing see the report: 2016-41_Processing_Report.doc. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- *CALIBRATION $TABLE: CALCULATED CHANNELS !
