While the CTD fluorescence data are expressed in concentration units, they do not always compare well to extracted chlorophyll samples, particularly for casts far from shore. There was no salinity, pH or dissolved oxygen calibration sampling and no other information available upon which to base a recalibration. During the cruise that followed and included extracted chlorophyll sampling it was determined that a small correction to the offset for the fluorometer was appropriate to remove many small negative values. WARNING: The pH:SBE:Nominal data should be used with caution; no field calibration data are available.
