The seawater goes directly into a seachest. From there it travels 6.2m through 7.6cm-stainless pipe to a 23cm by 7.6cm stainless steel strainer and directly to a pump. From the pump it flows through 3.3m of 3.8cm-stainless pipe to the Seabird model 21 Seacat thermosalinograph. TSG Data Processing ------------------- There were 8 TSG files with gaps between them, and for much of the cruise there are no TSG data available. The shallowest CTD data are from 3m or 4m, whereas the TSG likely draws from above 3m. There was no loop sampling and there were only 4 CTD casts that overlapped with TSG records. The comparison of the TSG with those CTD casts is of limited value but it does show that the TSG clock was working well. It also suggests that the water in the loop originates above the intake depth. The TSG temperature is also affected by heating in the loop. See report 2015-12_processing.doc for more details. !----1----- ---2---- ---3---- ---4---- ----5---- -----6----- ----7---- !
