Analysis methods: ----------------- Chlorophyll samples were analyzed frozen at IOS in Room 1310. The average of two samples is reported. Variability is assessed as the CV% (std dev / mean*100). Flags and comments apply to chlorophyll values only. For details see worksheet “CV%” in file QF2012-50CHL*.xls. Salinity samples were collected in 200 mL type ll glass bottles with reusable silicone inserts supplied by Xiamen Cuten Accessories Industry, Ltd. and screw caps supplied by Ocean Scientific International Limited. They were analyzed in a temperature-controlled lab at IOS on a Guildline 8400B salinometer standardized with IAPSO standard seawater about 4 months after collection. For details including a duplicate analysis, see document QF2012-50SAL*.xls. Nutrient samples were collected in plastic tubes. Samples were stored fozen and later analyszed using an Astoria analyzer at IOS. For details including a duplicate analysis, see document NUTS_QF2012-50nuts*.xls. References: 1. No CTD data were available for this cast.
