Samples were analyzed using an automated titration system consisting of a Brinkman Dosimat (model 665) and a PC 950 Colorimeter. Samples from events #1-11 were analyzed at sea. Samples from events #22-30 were analyzed at the Institute of Ocean Sciences within a week of collection. File 2010-69oxy.xls includes the raw data and duplicate analysis. Salinity samples were collected in glass bottles and analyzed at IOS on a Guildline model 8400B Autosal standardized with IAPSO standard seawater. See file 2010-69-sal.xls for analysis output. There were no duplicates. References: 1. Carpenter, J.H. 1965. The Chesapeake Bay Institute Technique for the Winkler Dissolved Oxygen Method. Limmnol. & Oceanogr., 10: 141-143. 2. Culberson, C. Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, Woods Hole, Mass. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Fluorescence, Transmissivity and PAR data are nominal and unedited except that some records were removed in editing temperature and salinity. There is insufficient information to make a precision estimate for the SBE dissolved oxygen channel for sensor #1176 (CTD #0506). Almost half the samples had been flagged by the analyst due to sampling problems, and many others were major outliers in the comparison with the CTD. All sampling was in Effingham Inlet where shallow casts, large gradients and other challenging conditions make comparisons unreliable. For details on the processing see processing report: 2010-69-proc.doc. *CALIBRATION $TABLE: CORRECTED CHANNELS !
