Samples were analyzed using an automated titration system consisting of a Brinkman Dosimat (model 665) and a PC 950 Colorimeter. Samples from events #1-11 were analyzed at sea. Samples from events #22-30 were analyzed at the Institute of Ocean Sciences within a week of collection. File 2010-69oxy.xls includes the raw data and duplicate analysis. Salinity samples were collected in glass bottles and analyzed at IOS on a Guildline model 8400B Autosal standardized with IAPSO standard seawater. See file 2010-69-sal.xls for analysis output. There were no duplicates. References: 1. Carpenter, J.H. 1965. The Chesapeake Bay Institute Technique for the Winkler Dissolved Oxygen Method. Limmnol. & Oceanogr., 10: 141-143. 2. Culberson, C. The precision of the SBE dissolved oxygen channel is difficult to estimate because the comparison with bottles was complex and noisy, and the history of the sensor confusing, but roughly, DO from sensor #1483 (CTD #0443) is considered: • ±0.4ml/l from 0-100 db • ±0.2ml/l from 100-300 db • ±0.05ml/l below 300db For details on the processing see processing report: 2010-69-proc.doc. *CALIBRATION $TABLE: CORRECTED CHANNELS !
