The pressures were estimated from the nominal bottle depths. In some cases quality flags had also been assigned by analysts; check the individual comments for those details. *************************************************************************** Analysis methods: ----------------- Oxygen samples were analyzed at sea using an automated Winkler titration system with modifications based on Carpenter (1965) and adhering to WOCE protocols (Culberson 1991). The titration system consists of a Brinkmann 665 Dosimat, a UV light source and a UV detector with a 365nm filter custom built by Scripps Institution of Oceanography. For details including a duplicate analysis, see document 2010-57oxy*.xlsx. Salinity samples were collected in glass bottles and analyzed at IOS on a Guildline model 8400B Autosal standardized with IAPSO standard seawater. See file 2010-57-sal.xls for analysis output. For information on precision see 2010-57-sal-duplicates.xls. Nutrient samples were collected in plastic tubes and analyzed frozen at IOS using an Astoria autoanalyzer following methods described in Barwell-Clarke and Whitney (1996). For full data and details on nutrient duplicates and precision see file QF2010-57nuts*.xls. Dissolved inorganic carbon (DIC) was determined using coulometric analysis. Total alkalinity (Alk) was determined by potentiometric titration. Methods including analysis and quality control are detailed in Dickson et al (1993) and Ianson et al (2007). References: 1. For details on the processing see processing report: 2010-57-proc.doc. Recalibration of 2010-57 SBE Dissolved Oxygen was based on the results of 2010-19 because there were insufficient calibration samples from this cruise. THere are insufficient data to estimate SBE DO precision. For cast #11 upcast CTD data above 75db were heavily corrupted. Downcast data were not affected and are available in file 2010-57-0011.CTD. See note above for samples #33-43 to see how CTD data were estimated. For details see the processing report 2010-57-proc.doc. *CALIBRATION $TABLE: CORRECTED CHANNELS !
