The depths in this file are based on wire out. A check of deep readings where altimetry and bottom depths were available led to recalibration of the wire out readings by adding 1m. This offset is likely due to the wire out being zeroed when the CTD pressure sensor was at about 1.5m depth. *********************************************************************** Analysis methods: ----------------- Oxygen samples are analyzed on an automated Winkler titration system following the procedures of Carpenter (1965). Samples were analyzed at sea using an automated titration system consisting of a Brinkman Dosimat (model 665) and a PC 900 Colorimeter. Salinity samples were collected in glass bottles and analyzed on a Guildline model 8400B Autosal at IOS. Salinometers are standardized with IAPSO standard seawater. References: 1. Institute of Ocean Sciences Nutrient Methods and Analysis. Canadian Technical Report of Hydrography and Ocean Sciences, No. 182, 43 pp. ALL SAMPLES: Note that pressure was not available. Depth was estimated using wire out, and corrected based on a comparison of that reading with bottom depths minus altimeter readings where available. Depth is considered +/- 2m. Dissolved Oxygen_SAMPLES: The standardization parameters were outside acceptable limits and all values should be interpreted with caution. *CALIBRATION $TABLE: CORRECTED CHANNELS !
