The salinity differences were >0.01 for this cast; while the primary looks better than the secondary, there is no way to determine which gives more accurate results. The only calibration sample came from the bottom where the two sensors were in closer agreement. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Transmissivity and fluorescence data are nominal and unedited except that some records were removed in editing temperature and salinity. While the two salinity channels were generally in very good agreement, there are cases where the differences between them were significant, up to 0.02. The best salinity pair to archive was usually obvious, but there may be patches of salinity data of lower accuracy than usual.
