They were analyzed 6 months after the cruise in a temperature-controlled lab at the Institute of Ocean Sciences on a Guildline 8400B Autosal Salinometer model 8400B (s/n 69086) standardized with IAPSO standard seawater. Salinity values during this survey ranged from 29.7897 to 34.2284 with a pooled standard deviation of 0.0027 from 28 replicates and a pooled standard deviation of 0.0014 after the removal of 1 outlier sample using Chauvenet's criteria. For details see report "QF Cruise-2009-06 SWL SAL_Arctic*.xlsx" Total Chlorophyll-a (>0.7um) samples were analysed at the Insitute of Ocean Sciences in November 2009, about 4 months after collection. For details see "2009-06CHL_NN*.xlsx". Dissolved oxygen concentrations were measured on board the Sir Wilfrid Laurier using with recently acquired SIO Winkler oxygen titration kits. For details on the analysis including a study of replicates see report "2009-06 C3O oxygen report.doc" and for the data see "2009-06 OXY.xls". Nutrient samples were collected in polystyrene tubes, quick frozen in aluminum blocks and stored in -20°C freezers until analysis back at IOS 8 months later. DIC was analyzed at the Institute of Ocean Sciences using a SOMMA (Single- Operator Multi-Metabolic Analyzer) in Arpil 2010, 9 months after collection.
