There were problems with the temperature and salinity data for a few casts that may be due to a corroded bulkhead connector. Downcast data were heavily corrupted for some casts; for all but one of those, the upcast data were better and were chosen for archiving. Whenever upcast data were selected a special note was made in the header. There was no salinity calibration sampling; no recalibration was applied. SeaCat salinity is prone to error due to a mismatch of conductivity and temperature response times, especially when the descent rate is non-uniform. Such errors are likely to be larger than calibration errors. SeaCat salinity errors are expected to be as high as 0.05 units in areas of high gradients. **************************************************************************** !--1--- ---2---- ---3---- -4-- !Pressu Temperat Salinity Numb !re ure :T0:C0 er_o ! ~bin ! _rec ! ords !------ -------- -------- ---- *END OF HEADER 1.0 13.8781 13.6580 9 2.0 13.6490 15.5567 10 3.0 10.9568 23.5725 9 3.9 10.3947 25.6105 9 4.9 9.9527 26.6952 9 5.9 9.7776 27.1988 7 7.0 9.5408 27.7641 8 8.0 9.2288 28.5256 7 9.0 9.1005 28.8664 8 9.9 9.0454 29.0256 8 10.9 9.0041 29.1355 8 11.9 8.8599 29.4660 8 12.9 8.7216 29.7619 7 13.9 8.6042 29.9939 8 14.9 8.5338 30.1291 7 15.9 8.4914 30.2178 8 17.0 8.4639 30.2749 9 18.0 8.4431 30.3059 8 19.0 8.4198 30.3416 8 20.0 8.3800 30.4095 8 21.0 8.3496 30.4647 7 21.9 8.3242 30.5111 7 22.9 8.3105 30.5366 7 23.9 8.2999 30.5563 7 24.9 8.2851 30.5835 8 26.0 8.2559 30.6335 8 27.0 8.2366 30.6713 7 28.0 8.2265 30.6893 8 29.0 8.2250 30.6988 8 30.0 8.2229 30.7106 8 31.0 8.2168 30.7223 9 32.0 8.2105 30.7334 8 33.0 8.1758 30.7851 8 34.0 8.1439 30.8408 8 35.0 8.1281 30.8829 8 36.0 8.1217 30.9000 8 36.9 8.1092 30.9352 8 38.0 8.0995 30.9615 10 38.9 8.0967 30.9681 8 39.9 8.0912 30.9816 9 40.9 8.0857 30.9955 8 41.9 8.0854 30.9972 9 43.0 8.0711 31.0335 10 44.0 8.0579 31.0703 9 45.0 8.0511 31.0911 10 46.0 8.0410 31.1302 10 46.8 8.0362 31.1462 8
