There were problems with the temperature and salinity data for a few casts that may be due to a corroded bulkhead connector. Downcast data were heavily corrupted for some casts; for all but one of those, the upcast data were better and were chosen for archiving. Whenever upcast data were selected a special note was made in the header. There was no salinity calibration sampling; no recalibration was applied. SeaCat salinity is prone to error due to a mismatch of conductivity and temperature response times, especially when the descent rate is non-uniform. Such errors are likely to be larger than calibration errors. SeaCat salinity errors are expected to be as high as 0.05 units in areas of high gradients. **************************************************************************** !--1--- ---2---- ---3---- -4-- !Pressu Temperat Salinity Numb !re ure :T0:C0 er_o ! ~bin ! _rec ! ords !------ -------- -------- ---- *END OF HEADER 0.9 12.6635 20.5917 10 1.9 11.4518 23.3359 9 3.0 10.6626 25.3550 8 4.0 10.4648 25.9296 6 5.0 10.2627 26.3843 5 6.0 9.9517 27.0473 6 7.0 9.7401 27.5726 6 7.9 9.4897 28.1300 7 8.9 9.3816 28.3833 7 10.0 9.3162 28.5719 9 10.9 9.2732 28.6978 8 11.9 9.2191 28.8279 8 12.9 9.1607 28.9479 8 14.0 9.0269 29.1969 7 14.9 8.9446 29.3925 7 15.9 8.8456 29.5870 8 17.0 8.7658 29.7443 8 18.0 8.7278 29.8255 8 19.0 8.7033 29.8779 7 19.9 8.6270 30.0246 8 20.9 8.5751 30.1356 7 21.9 8.4895 30.2999 8 23.0 8.4692 30.3463 8 24.0 8.4589 30.3672 7 25.0 8.4429 30.3987 8 26.0 8.4238 30.4344 7 27.0 8.4121 30.4578 9 28.0 8.4095 30.4629 9 29.0 8.4093 30.4633 10 29.6 8.4021 30.4780 4
