There were problems with the temperature and salinity data for a few casts that may be due to a corroded bulkhead connector. Downcast data were heavily corrupted for some casts; for all but one of those, the upcast data were better and were chosen for archiving. Whenever upcast data were selected a special note was made in the header. There was no salinity calibration sampling; no recalibration was applied. SeaCat salinity is prone to error due to a mismatch of conductivity and temperature response times, especially when the descent rate is non-uniform. Such errors are likely to be larger than calibration errors. SeaCat salinity errors are expected to be as high as 0.05 units in areas of high gradients. **************************************************************************** !--1--- ---2---- ---3---- -4-- !Pressu Temperat Salinity Numb !re ure :T0:C0 er_o ! ~bin ! _rec ! ords !------ -------- -------- ---- *END OF HEADER 0.4 12.5409 21.4380 2 0.9 12.1274 22.5036 10 2.0 11.0337 24.8241 10 3.0 10.6940 25.7245 10 4.0 10.2947 26.7035 10 4.9 9.8642 27.6861 10 6.0 9.6952 28.0765 9 6.9 9.5948 28.3826 10 7.9 9.4589 28.7435 10 9.0 9.1701 29.3558 9 9.9 8.8797 29.9843 10 11.0 8.7561 30.5025 9 11.9 8.7079 30.7455 9 12.9 8.7236 30.7888 9 13.9 8.7245 30.8098 10 14.9 8.7066 30.8277 9 15.9 8.6569 30.8957 10 17.0 8.6380 30.9280 9 18.0 8.6341 30.9325 10 19.0 8.6318 30.9350 10 20.0 8.6294 30.9369 9 21.0 8.6207 30.9472 10 22.0 8.6159 30.9547 10 22.9 8.6153 30.9606 9 24.0 8.6074 30.9800 10 25.0 8.6006 30.9892 10 25.9 8.5988 30.9963 9 27.0 8.5943 31.0053 10 28.0 8.5823 31.0182 9 29.0 8.5748 31.0257 10 30.0 8.5666 31.0361 9 31.0 8.5548 31.0493 9 32.0 8.5403 31.0650 10 33.0 8.5337 31.0728 10 34.0 8.5242 31.0850 10 35.0 8.5119 31.0941 10 36.0 8.5116 31.0936 10 37.0 8.5077 31.0956 10 37.5 8.5050 31.0984 1
