There were problems with the temperature and salinity data for a few casts that may be due to a corroded bulkhead connector. Downcast data were heavily corrupted for some casts; for all but one of those, the upcast data were better and were chosen for archiving. Whenever upcast data were selected a special note was made in the header. There was no salinity calibration sampling; no recalibration was applied. SeaCat salinity is prone to error due to a mismatch of conductivity and temperature response times, especially when the descent rate is non-uniform. Such errors are likely to be larger than calibration errors. SeaCat salinity errors are expected to be as high as 0.05 units in areas of high gradients. **************************************************************************** !--1--- ---2---- ---3---- -4-- !Pressu Temperat Salinity Numb !re ure :T0:C0 er_o ! ~bin ! _rec ! ords !------ -------- -------- ---- *END OF HEADER 1.0 12.3861 22.7145 9 1.9 11.8914 23.6739 9 2.9 10.9175 25.7054 9 4.0 10.1066 27.5336 8 5.0 9.5836 28.7639 8 6.0 9.4216 29.1589 8 6.9 9.3332 29.3283 8 7.9 9.2787 29.4635 9 9.0 9.1396 29.7519 8 9.9 9.0213 29.9903 8 10.9 8.8778 30.2911 9 12.0 8.7928 30.4936 9 13.0 8.7740 30.5412 8 13.9 8.7615 30.5791 8 14.9 8.7453 30.6435 8 15.9 8.7431 30.6639 8 17.0 8.7411 30.7062 8 18.0 8.7292 30.7547 8 18.9 8.7077 30.7994 8 19.9 8.6971 30.8227 9 20.9 8.6859 30.8349 8 21.9 8.6657 30.8428 9 23.0 8.6611 30.8481 10 24.0 8.6706 30.8522 10 25.0 8.6907 30.8554 10
