There were problems with the temperature and salinity data for a few casts that may be due to a corroded bulkhead connector. Downcast data were heavily corrupted for some casts; for all but one of those, the upcast data were better and were chosen for archiving. Whenever upcast data were selected a special note was made in the header. There was no salinity calibration sampling; no recalibration was applied. SeaCat salinity is prone to error due to a mismatch of conductivity and temperature response times, especially when the descent rate is non-uniform. Such errors are likely to be larger than calibration errors. SeaCat salinity errors are expected to be as high as 0.05 units in areas of high gradients. **************************************************************************** !--1--- ---2---- ---3---- -4-- !Pressu Temperat Salinity Numb !re ure :T0:C0 er_o ! ~bin ! _rec ! ords !------ -------- -------- ---- *END OF HEADER 1.1 12.4425 23.1481 7 2.0 11.1807 25.0173 10 3.0 10.0081 27.4333 10 4.0 9.7765 28.0031 9 4.9 9.5846 28.4894 10 5.9 9.3968 29.0370 9 6.9 9.2121 29.6500 10 7.9 9.0473 29.9403 10 8.9 8.9739 30.0441 10 9.9 8.8390 30.2045 10 10.9 8.8073 30.3125 10 11.9 8.7526 30.4990 10 12.9 8.7733 30.5592 10 13.9 8.7706 30.5756 10 14.9 8.7508 30.6073 10 15.9 8.7451 30.6290 10 17.0 8.7428 30.6801 10 18.0 8.7424 30.6930 9 19.0 8.7405 30.7029 10 20.0 8.7389 30.7198 10 21.0 8.7330 30.7493 10 22.0 8.7219 30.7912 10 23.0 8.7085 30.8203 10 23.9 8.7140 30.8236 9 25.0 8.7219 30.8250 10 26.0 8.7259 30.8272 10 27.0 8.7336 30.8383 10 28.0 8.7185 30.8534 10 29.0 8.6948 30.8621 10 30.0 8.6561 30.9023 10 31.0 8.6512 30.9133 10 32.0 8.6484 30.9170 10 33.0 8.6461 30.9214 10 34.0 8.6429 30.9287 10 35.0 8.6385 30.9388 10 35.9 8.6320 30.9506 9 37.0 8.6146 30.9772 10 38.0 8.5765 31.0337 10 39.0 8.5349 31.0950 10 40.0 8.4973 31.1397 10 41.0 8.4647 31.1766 10 42.0 8.4607 31.1814 10 42.5 8.4609 31.1812 2
