Downcast data were heavily corrupted for some casts; for all but one of those, the upcast data were better and were chosen for archiving. Whenever upcast data were selected a special note was made in the header. There was no salinity calibration sampling; no recalibration was applied. SeaCat salinity is prone to error due to a mismatch of conductivity and temperature response times, especially when the descent rate is non-uniform. Such errors are likely to be larger than calibration errors. SeaCat salinity errors are expected to be as high as 0.05 units in areas of high gradients. **************************************************************************** !--1--- ---2---- ---3---- -4-- !Pressu Temperat Salinity Numb !re ure :T0:C0 er_o ! ~bin ! _rec ! ords !------ -------- -------- ---- *END OF HEADER 1.0 12.3361 19.9577 9 1.9 12.3338 19.9463 9 2.9 12.3334 19.9458 8 3.9 12.3335 19.9461 8 5.0 12.3355 19.9468 9 6.0 12.3366 19.9837 8 6.9 11.4046 22.4815 8 7.9 8.8710 29.1365 9 8.9 8.6784 29.7860 8 9.9 8.5163 30.1116 8 10.9 8.5062 30.1665 9 12.0 8.5063 30.1709 8 12.9 8.5008 30.1791 9 14.0 8.4970 30.1851 8 14.9 8.4968 30.1857 8 15.9 8.4932 30.1933 8 16.9 8.4879 30.2053 9 18.0 8.4726 30.2416 8 19.0 8.4618 30.3094 7 19.9 8.4248 30.4640 8 20.9 8.4081 30.5385 8 21.9 8.3744 30.6538 8 22.9 8.3693 30.6876 8 23.9 8.3701 30.7111 7 25.0 8.3680 30.7322 8 26.0 8.3673 30.7452 7 27.0 8.3668 30.7527 7 27.9 8.3661 30.7715 7 28.9 8.3651 30.7840 8 30.0 8.3639 30.7917 8 31.0 8.3631 30.8002 7 31.9 8.3626 30.8066 7 32.9 8.3617 30.8215 8 33.9 8.3594 30.8445 7 34.9 8.3576 30.8634 8 36.0 8.3559 30.8855 7 37.0 8.3534 30.9157 8 38.0 8.3437 30.9844 9 39.0 8.3264 31.0680 10 39.6 8.3185 31.0994 3
