There were problems with the temperature and salinity data for a few casts that may be due to a corroded bulkhead connector. Downcast data were heavily corrupted for some casts; for all but one of those, the upcast data were better and were chosen for archiving. Whenever upcast data were selected a special note was made in the header. There was no salinity calibration sampling; no recalibration was applied. SeaCat salinity is prone to error due to a mismatch of conductivity and temperature response times, especially when the descent rate is non-uniform. Such errors are likely to be larger than calibration errors. SeaCat salinity errors are expected to be as high as 0.05 units in areas of high gradients. **************************************************************************** !--1--- ---2---- ---3---- -4-- !Pressu Temperat Salinity Numb !re ure :T0:C0 er_o ! ~bin ! _rec ! ords !------ -------- -------- ---- *END OF HEADER 1.0 12.7795 19.0359 9 2.0 12.1026 21.2063 10 2.9 11.2645 23.6705 8 3.9 10.3488 25.9353 8 4.9 9.5341 27.9320 7 6.0 8.9505 29.1638 7 6.9 8.7583 29.5623 6 7.9 8.7042 29.6557 7 8.9 8.6448 29.7670 6 10.0 8.5623 29.9333 7 11.0 8.5276 30.0165 6 12.0 8.4922 30.1099 6 12.9 8.4712 30.1844 6 13.9 8.4668 30.1997 6 14.9 8.4643 30.2115 6 15.9 8.4434 30.3314 7 17.0 8.3910 30.5770 6 18.0 8.3862 30.6076 6 19.0 8.3847 30.6156 7 20.0 8.3814 30.6390 6 20.9 8.3815 30.6537 7 22.0 8.3821 30.6688 7 22.9 8.3812 30.6753 7 23.9 8.3807 30.6854 8 24.9 8.3809 30.7076 7 25.9 8.3804 30.7459 7 26.9 8.3793 30.7684 7 27.9 8.3791 30.7695 7 28.9 8.3787 30.7702 7 29.9 8.3789 30.7895 7 30.9 8.3782 30.8335 6 31.9 8.3761 30.8969 7 32.9 8.3757 30.9292 6 34.0 8.3752 30.9450 7 35.0 8.3738 30.9584 6 36.0 8.3733 30.9646 7 37.0 8.3728 30.9707 6 37.9 8.3710 30.9890 7 39.0 8.3630 31.0552 9 39.8 8.3595 31.0883 7
