Downcast data were heavily corrupted for some casts; for all but one of those, the upcast data were better and were chosen for archiving. Whenever upcast data were selected a special note was made in the header. There was no salinity calibration sampling; no recalibration was applied. SeaCat salinity is prone to error due to a mismatch of conductivity and temperature response times, especially when the descent rate is non-uniform. Such errors are likely to be larger than calibration errors. SeaCat salinity errors are expected to be as high as 0.05 units in areas of high gradients. **************************************************************************** !--1--- ---2---- ---3---- -4-- !Pressu Temperat Salinity Numb !re ure :T0:C0 er_o ! ~bin ! _rec ! ords !------ -------- -------- ---- *END OF HEADER 1.0 11.9558 17.5432 9 1.9 11.8249 18.6233 9 3.0 11.0738 21.5807 9 4.0 10.0954 25.0214 8 5.0 9.6769 26.3489 8 5.9 9.4712 27.0482 7 6.9 8.9744 28.4354 8 7.9 8.6203 29.4224 9 9.0 8.5824 29.5238 8 10.0 8.5327 29.6163 7 10.9 8.4698 29.7607 8 11.9 8.4462 29.8581 8 12.9 8.4283 29.9246 8 14.0 8.4022 30.0011 9 15.0 8.3735 30.0895 7 15.9 8.3665 30.1204 8 16.9 8.3435 30.2076 8 17.9 8.3141 30.3309 8 18.9 8.2973 30.4008 8 20.0 8.2899 30.4238 8 20.9 8.2847 30.4365 7 21.9 8.2744 30.5152 8 22.9 8.2524 30.6787 7 23.9 8.2502 30.7322 8 24.9 8.2493 30.7468 8 25.9 8.2483 30.7523 9 27.0 8.2479 30.7531 10 27.9 8.2445 30.7669 9 28.9 8.2404 30.8211 9 29.9 8.2456 30.8645 7 30.9 8.2466 30.8829 8 31.9 8.2469 30.8941 7 32.9 8.2469 30.8983 8 34.0 8.2467 30.9013 9 35.0 8.2455 30.9029 9 36.0 8.2452 30.9059 9 37.0 8.2451 30.9089 10 38.0 8.2459 30.9106 10 39.0 8.2465 30.9167 10 40.0 8.2473 30.9249 10 40.5 8.2474 30.9312 1
