There were problems with the temperature and salinity data for a few casts that may be due to a corroded bulkhead connector. Downcast data were heavily corrupted for some casts; for all but one of those, the upcast data were better and were chosen for archiving. Whenever upcast data were selected a special note was made in the header. There was no salinity calibration sampling; no recalibration was applied. SeaCat salinity is prone to error due to a mismatch of conductivity and temperature response times, especially when the descent rate is non-uniform. Such errors are likely to be larger than calibration errors. SeaCat salinity errors are expected to be as high as 0.05 units in areas of high gradients. **************************************************************************** !--1--- ---2---- ---3---- -4-- !Pressu Temperat Salinity Numb !re ure :T0:C0 er_o ! ~bin ! _rec ! ords !------ -------- -------- ---- *END OF HEADER 0.9 12.1106 16.3866 10 1.9 11.9954 16.6821 9 2.9 11.6654 19.2251 9 4.0 10.6827 23.7351 10 4.9 10.1806 25.5905 10 5.9 9.6524 26.9673 10 6.9 9.1965 28.0164 10 7.9 8.8033 28.7873 10 8.9 8.5260 29.3864 10 9.9 8.4220 29.6236 10 10.9 8.3697 29.7096 10 11.9 8.3230 29.9018 10 12.9 8.2498 30.1344 10 13.9 8.2185 30.1996 10 14.9 8.2011 30.2319 10 15.9 8.1952 30.2790 10 17.0 8.1607 30.3156 10 18.0 8.1576 30.3732 10 19.0 8.1655 30.4232 10 20.0 8.1783 30.4532 10 21.0 8.1718 30.4731 10 22.0 8.1641 30.5196 10 23.0 8.1395 30.5928 10 24.0 8.1323 30.6236 10 25.0 8.1264 30.6477 10 26.0 8.1279 30.6662 10 27.0 8.1308 30.7210 10 28.0 8.1316 30.7426 10 29.0 8.1320 30.7442 10 30.0 8.1326 30.7558 10 31.0 8.1335 30.7724 10 32.0 8.1330 30.8053 10 33.0 8.1302 30.8383 9 34.0 8.1299 30.8631 10 35.0 8.1310 30.8812 9 35.9 8.1310 30.8917 8 36.9 8.1313 30.9066 9 38.0 8.1294 30.9175 9 39.0 8.1284 30.9239 9 40.0 8.1278 30.9332 9 40.8 8.1276 30.9395 8
