There were problems with the temperature and salinity data for a few casts that may be due to a corroded bulkhead connector. Downcast data were heavily corrupted for some casts; for all but one of those, the upcast data were better and were chosen for archiving. Whenever upcast data were selected a special note was made in the header. There was no salinity calibration sampling; no recalibration was applied. SeaCat salinity is prone to error due to a mismatch of conductivity and temperature response times, especially when the descent rate is non-uniform. Such errors are likely to be larger than calibration errors. SeaCat salinity errors are expected to be as high as 0.05 units in areas of high gradients. **************************************************************************** !--1--- ---2---- ---3---- -4-- !Pressu Temperat Salinity Numb !re ure :T0:C0 er_o ! ~bin ! _rec ! ords !------ -------- -------- ---- *END OF HEADER 1.0 11.6197 14.2142 9 2.0 11.6164 15.8765 10 3.0 11.7262 18.7218 8 4.0 11.7032 20.0380 8 4.9 11.4229 21.9921 7 5.9 10.2997 25.2274 8 6.9 9.5914 27.0781 7 7.9 9.3479 27.6365 8 9.0 9.2073 27.9551 8 10.0 9.0671 28.2627 7 10.9 8.9405 28.5467 8 11.9 8.7407 28.9939 8 12.9 8.4580 29.6359 7 13.9 8.2384 30.1291 8 14.9 8.1683 30.3147 7 15.9 8.1517 30.3628 8 17.0 8.1531 30.3592 8 18.0 8.1485 30.3694 8 19.0 8.1435 30.3824 7 20.0 8.1360 30.4098 8 21.0 8.1147 30.4723 7 22.0 8.1070 30.4984 8 23.0 8.1020 30.5139 7 23.9 8.1020 30.5115 7 25.0 8.0905 30.5377 8 26.0 8.0836 30.5572 7 27.0 8.0834 30.5632 8 28.0 8.0772 30.5844 7 29.0 8.0594 30.6370 8 30.0 8.0491 30.6651 8 31.0 8.0399 30.6835 8 32.0 8.0298 30.6999 7 32.9 8.0244 30.7171 8 34.0 8.0124 30.7490 9 35.0 7.9863 30.7946 8 35.9 7.9940 30.8167 9 37.0 7.9939 30.8325 10 38.0 7.9989 30.8387 10 39.0 8.0124 30.8498 10 40.0 8.0145 30.8651 10 41.0 8.0111 30.8748 10 42.0 8.0024 30.8777 10 43.0 7.9930 30.8902 10 44.0 7.9924 30.9146 10 45.0 7.9812 30.9418 10 46.0 7.9711 30.9583 10 46.5 7.9688 30.9646 1
