Downcast data were heavily corrupted for some casts; for all but one of those, the upcast data were better and were chosen for archiving. Whenever upcast data were selected a special note was made in the header. There was no salinity calibration sampling; no recalibration was applied. SeaCat salinity is prone to error due to a mismatch of conductivity and temperature response times, especially when the descent rate is non-uniform. Such errors are likely to be larger than calibration errors. SeaCat salinity errors are expected to be as high as 0.05 units in areas of high gradients. **************************************************************************** !--1--- ---2---- ---3---- -4-- !Pressu Temperat Salinity Numb !re ure :T0:C0 er_o ! ~bin ! _rec ! ords !------ -------- -------- ---- *END OF HEADER 1.0 11.3916 15.5303 9 1.9 11.4024 15.6732 8 2.9 11.2561 17.0141 7 3.9 10.0089 23.8963 7 5.0 9.7508 25.5720 7 6.0 9.4658 26.4454 6 6.9 9.0983 27.5020 6 7.9 8.7201 28.4492 7 9.0 8.5805 28.8090 7 10.0 8.5024 28.9992 7 10.9 8.4504 29.1379 6 11.9 8.3496 29.3836 7 12.9 8.2167 29.6843 7 13.9 8.1298 29.8866 7 14.9 8.0855 30.0088 7 16.0 8.0427 30.1184 7 17.0 8.0152 30.1759 7 18.0 8.0090 30.1922 6 18.9 8.0074 30.1977 7 20.0 8.0035 30.2096 7 21.0 7.9903 30.2412 7 22.0 7.9599 30.3151 7 23.0 7.9467 30.3513 7 24.0 7.9432 30.3642 8 25.0 7.9337 30.3880 7 26.0 7.9273 30.4087 8 27.0 7.9158 30.4448 7 27.9 7.9082 30.4681 8 28.9 7.9062 30.4754 7 29.9 7.9025 30.4882 8 31.0 7.8921 30.5208 8 32.0 7.8885 30.5357 7 33.0 7.8875 30.5430 8 33.9 7.8842 30.5632 7 34.9 7.8803 30.5851 8 36.0 7.8748 30.6197 8 37.0 7.8727 30.6465 8 38.0 7.8745 30.6866 9 39.0 7.8798 30.7117 10 40.0 7.8860 30.7322 10 40.5 7.8928 30.7485 2
