Downcast data were heavily corrupted for some casts; for all but one of those, the upcast data were better and were chosen for archiving. Whenever upcast data were selected a special note was made in the header. There was no salinity calibration sampling; no recalibration was applied. SeaCat salinity is prone to error due to a mismatch of conductivity and temperature response times, especially when the descent rate is non-uniform. Such errors are likely to be larger than calibration errors. SeaCat salinity errors are expected to be as high as 0.05 units in areas of high gradients. **************************************************************************** !--1--- ---2---- ---3---- -4-- !Pressu Temperat Salinity Numb !re ure :T0:C0 er_o ! ~bin ! _rec ! ords !------ -------- -------- ---- *END OF HEADER 1.0 12.1928 11.4802 8 2.0 12.2013 11.4943 10 2.9 12.1722 11.8891 8 3.9 11.8505 14.3883 8 4.9 11.1990 17.3082 8 5.9 10.8116 19.2768 7 6.9 10.5137 21.3284 8 7.9 9.9199 24.0965 6 8.9 9.2557 26.5372 8 10.0 8.8426 27.8648 7 10.9 8.5447 28.7212 7 11.9 8.4230 29.0678 8 13.0 8.3982 29.1351 8 14.0 8.3156 29.2788 7 15.0 8.2225 29.4909 7 15.9 8.1362 29.6958 7 16.9 8.0751 29.8328 8 17.9 8.0447 29.9052 7 18.9 8.0134 29.9604 7 19.9 7.9904 30.0075 7 20.9 7.9761 30.0366 7 21.9 7.9553 30.0867 8 22.9 7.9163 30.1945 7 23.9 7.9041 30.2321 7 24.9 7.8926 30.2718 7 25.9 7.8739 30.3306 7 26.9 7.8450 30.4089 7 27.9 7.8306 30.4524 7 29.0 7.8227 30.4760 7 29.9 7.8151 30.4981 7 30.9 7.8074 30.5247 7 32.0 7.7948 30.5593 7 33.0 7.7896 30.5786 6 33.9 7.7843 30.6031 7 35.0 7.7817 30.6164 6 35.9 7.7764 30.6292 6 36.9 7.7738 30.6394 7 38.0 7.7724 30.6473 7 39.0 7.7708 30.6570 8 40.0 7.7673 30.6723 9 41.0 7.7672 30.6806 10
