Downcast data were heavily corrupted for some casts; for all but one of those, the upcast data were better and were chosen for archiving. Whenever upcast data were selected a special note was made in the header. There was no salinity calibration sampling; no recalibration was applied. SeaCat salinity is prone to error due to a mismatch of conductivity and temperature response times, especially when the descent rate is non-uniform. Such errors are likely to be larger than calibration errors. SeaCat salinity errors are expected to be as high as 0.05 units in areas of high gradients. **************************************************************************** !--1--- ---2---- ---3---- -4-- !Pressu Temperat Salinity Numb !re ure :T0:C0 er_o ! ~bin ! _rec ! ords !------ -------- -------- ---- *END OF HEADER 1.0 12.9793 8.0081 8 1.9 12.1408 9.6856 8 2.9 11.6162 12.3877 7 3.9 10.1706 19.7392 7 4.9 9.3828 24.4312 6 5.9 9.0216 26.1472 7 7.0 8.8065 27.0443 6 8.0 8.7744 27.1291 6 8.9 8.6764 27.3292 6 9.9 8.5958 27.5575 6 10.9 8.5948 27.6365 6 11.9 8.5812 27.6785 6 12.9 8.5792 27.6873 6 14.0 8.5763 27.7008 6 14.9 8.5570 27.7729 5 15.9 8.5414 27.8754 6 16.9 8.4185 28.2664 7 18.0 8.3523 28.4875 10 19.0 8.3373 28.5392 8 20.0 8.2266 28.8265 7 21.0 7.9971 29.3762 6 21.9 7.9117 29.6031 6 22.9 7.8512 29.7459 6 23.9 7.7715 29.9305 6 25.0 7.7501 29.9930 6 25.9 7.7231 30.0550 6 26.9 7.7078 30.1024 6 27.9 7.6326 30.2752 6 28.9 7.6044 30.3612 7 30.0 7.5952 30.3989 7 31.0 7.5887 30.4252 8 32.0 7.5802 30.4459 10 32.6 7.5778 30.4560 3
