Downcast data were heavily corrupted for some casts; for all but one of those, the upcast data were better and were chosen for archiving. Whenever upcast data were selected a special note was made in the header. There was no salinity calibration sampling; no recalibration was applied. SeaCat salinity is prone to error due to a mismatch of conductivity and temperature response times, especially when the descent rate is non-uniform. Such errors are likely to be larger than calibration errors. SeaCat salinity errors are expected to be as high as 0.05 units in areas of high gradients. **************************************************************************** !--1--- ---2---- ---3---- -4-- !Pressu Temperat Salinity Numb !re ure :T0:C0 er_o ! ~bin ! _rec ! ords !------ -------- -------- ---- *END OF HEADER 1.0 11.5510 16.0593 8 1.9 11.2374 17.3972 9 2.9 10.2851 22.4730 9 4.0 9.2352 26.6395 9 5.0 9.0618 27.3878 8 5.9 8.8779 27.9378 8 6.9 8.7065 28.3786 9 8.0 8.6224 28.6011 8 9.0 8.5292 28.8249 8 9.9 8.4203 29.0729 8 11.0 8.3310 29.2766 9 12.0 8.2855 29.3804 8 13.0 8.2481 29.4638 9 13.9 8.2219 29.5279 8 14.9 8.2158 29.5748 9 16.0 8.1972 29.6145 9 17.0 8.1775 29.6381 8 18.0 8.1426 29.7128 9 18.9 8.0768 29.8699 8 19.9 8.0134 30.0243 9 21.0 7.9969 30.0704 9 22.0 7.9841 30.1014 9 22.9 7.9787 30.1150 9 24.0 7.9670 30.1390 10 25.0 7.9557 30.1595 9 26.0 7.9498 30.1690 10 27.0 7.9378 30.1937 10 27.7 7.9338 30.2031 5
