There were problems with the temperature and salinity data for a few casts that may be due to a corroded bulkhead connector. Downcast data were heavily corrupted for some casts; for all but one of those, the upcast data were better and were chosen for archiving. Whenever upcast data were selected a special note was made in the header. There was no salinity calibration sampling; no recalibration was applied. SeaCat salinity is prone to error due to a mismatch of conductivity and temperature response times, especially when the descent rate is non-uniform. Such errors are likely to be larger than calibration errors. SeaCat salinity errors are expected to be as high as 0.05 units in areas of high gradients. **************************************************************************** !--1--- ---2---- ---3---- -4-- !Pressu Temperat Salinity Numb !re ure :T0:C0 er_o ! ~bin ! _rec ! ords !------ -------- -------- ---- *END OF HEADER 1.1 11.2326 20.3879 6 2.0 11.0526 20.9159 10 3.0 10.8806 21.1150 10 4.0 10.6623 22.0017 10 4.9 10.4228 23.1114 10 5.9 9.8152 26.4186 10 6.9 9.6110 27.7786 10 7.9 9.5979 27.8444 10 8.9 9.5871 27.9700 10 9.8 9.6212 28.0773 7 11.1 9.5217 28.1885 1 11.9 8.6335 29.3073 4 12.9 8.2985 29.7847 4 13.9 8.2591 29.9206 7 14.7 8.2494 29.9824 3 16.1 8.2449 30.0111 7 17.0 8.2689 30.0205 10 18.0 8.2978 30.0355 10 19.0 8.2977 30.0358 10 20.0 8.2957 30.0317 10 21.0 8.2936 30.0305 10 22.0 8.3001 30.0399 10 23.0 8.3059 30.0458 10 24.0 8.3058 30.0466 10 24.9 8.3059 30.0467 8 26.0 8.3056 30.0469 10 26.6 8.3068 30.0483 3
