Downcast data were heavily corrupted for some casts; for all but one of those, the upcast data were better and were chosen for archiving. Whenever upcast data were selected a special note was made in the header. There was no salinity calibration sampling; no recalibration was applied. SeaCat salinity is prone to error due to a mismatch of conductivity and temperature response times, especially when the descent rate is non-uniform. Such errors are likely to be larger than calibration errors. SeaCat salinity errors are expected to be as high as 0.05 units in areas of high gradients. **************************************************************************** !--1--- ---2---- ---3---- -4-- !Pressu Temperat Salinity Numb !re ure :T0:C0 er_o ! ~bin ! _rec ! ords !------ -------- -------- ---- *END OF HEADER 1.0 10.6792 22.7819 9 1.9 10.6935 22.7453 9 3.0 10.6805 22.8887 8 4.0 10.2552 24.5095 7 4.9 10.0138 25.5010 7 5.9 9.9438 25.7774 8 6.9 9.8764 26.1072 7 8.0 9.6519 26.8617 8 9.0 9.5028 27.3324 7 9.9 9.3800 27.6514 7 10.9 9.1456 28.1610 7 11.9 8.9347 28.6098 8 12.9 8.8492 28.8026 7 13.9 8.6756 29.2605 8 14.9 8.5985 29.5452 8 15.9 8.5887 29.5890 9 17.0 8.5692 29.6533 8 17.9 8.5586 29.7102 9 19.0 8.5399 29.8183 9 20.0 8.4665 30.0461 8 21.0 8.4471 30.0923 8 22.0 8.4365 30.1071 9 23.0 8.4174 30.1412 9 23.9 8.4100 30.1631 9 25.0 8.4026 30.1912 10 25.9 8.3974 30.2146 9 26.9 8.3991 30.2253 9 27.9 8.3986 30.2467 9 29.0 8.4006 30.2588 9 30.0 8.3978 30.2808 10 31.0 8.3554 30.3997 9 32.0 8.3257 30.4787 10 33.0 8.2904 30.5418 10 34.0 8.3081 30.5156 10 34.8 8.2881 30.5483 8
