There were problems with the temperature and salinity data for a few casts that may be due to a corroded bulkhead connector. Downcast data were heavily corrupted for some casts; for all but one of those, the upcast data were better and were chosen for archiving. Whenever upcast data were selected a special note was made in the header. There was no salinity calibration sampling; no recalibration was applied. SeaCat salinity is prone to error due to a mismatch of conductivity and temperature response times, especially when the descent rate is non-uniform. Such errors are likely to be larger than calibration errors. SeaCat salinity errors are expected to be as high as 0.05 units in areas of high gradients. **************************************************************************** !--1--- ---2---- ---3---- -4-- !Pressu Temperat Salinity Numb !re ure :T0:C0 er_o ! ~bin ! _rec ! ords !------ -------- -------- ---- *END OF HEADER 1.1 9.9762 29.4208 7 2.0 9.7595 29.5970 10 3.0 9.0581 30.1632 8 3.9 8.9859 30.2275 9 4.9 8.8939 30.2928 9 6.0 8.7767 30.3782 9 7.0 8.7418 30.4042 9 7.9 8.7161 30.4300 9 8.9 8.6844 30.4634 10 10.0 8.6781 30.4716 9 10.9 8.6684 30.4850 9 11.9 8.6359 30.5165 10 13.0 8.6176 30.5267 9 14.0 8.6164 30.5302 9 15.0 8.6085 30.5513 9 15.9 8.5726 30.5971 9 16.9 8.5189 30.6790 9 18.0 8.5073 30.7007 10 19.0 8.5020 30.7092 9 20.0 8.4894 30.7305 9 20.9 8.4842 30.7404 9 21.9 8.4794 30.7471 9 22.9 8.4744 30.7516 9 24.0 8.4563 30.7640 10 25.0 8.4383 30.7872 9 26.0 8.4293 30.8050 9 27.0 8.4244 30.8171 9 28.0 8.4166 30.8362 10 29.0 8.4114 30.8493 10 30.0 8.4082 30.8567 10 30.6 8.4052 30.8657 4
