Many cast files were heavily corrupted and unusable. For some the downcast section was corrupted, but the upcast was better. There was no salinity calibration sampling; no recalibration was applied. SeaCat salinity is prone to error due to a mismatch of conductivity and temperature response times, especially when the descent rate is non-uniform. Such errors are likely to be larger than calibration errors. SeaCat salinity errors are expected to be as high as 0.05 units in areas of high gradients. **************************************************************************** !--1--- ---2---- ---3---- -4-- !Pressu Temperat Salinity Numb !re ure :T0:C0 er_o ! ~bin ! _rec ! ords !------ -------- -------- ---- *END OF HEADER 0.8 11.9278 19.2330 15 2.0 11.2796 21.5779 6 3.0 10.5599 23.9736 4 4.0 10.0371 25.8659 4 5.0 9.6569 27.0587 3 5.9 9.3067 27.8609 3 6.8 9.1417 28.3102 3 7.9 9.0125 28.6520 4 9.1 8.9358 28.8553 3 10.0 8.8864 28.9868 3 11.0 8.8254 29.1425 3 12.0 8.7268 29.3607 3 13.0 8.6414 29.5538 3 13.9 8.5748 29.7155 3 14.9 8.4921 29.8903 3 15.9 8.4492 29.9861 3 16.9 8.4345 30.0264 3 17.8 8.4271 30.0485 3 19.0 8.4227 30.0639 4 20.0 8.4181 30.0783 3 21.0 8.4098 30.0964 3 21.9 8.3975 30.1211 3 22.9 8.3802 30.1591 3 23.8 8.3448 30.2208 3 25.0 8.3061 30.2829 4 26.1 8.2816 30.3232 3 27.0 8.2664 30.3517 3 27.9 8.2468 30.3872 3 28.9 8.2294 30.4177 3 30.0 8.2133 30.4459 4 31.1 8.2005 30.4691 3 32.0 8.1841 30.4916 3 32.9 8.1740 30.5040 3 34.0 8.1746 30.5048 4 35.0 8.1651 30.5108 3 35.9 8.1445 30.5198 3 36.9 8.1315 30.5259 4 38.0 8.1298 30.5311 4 38.9 8.1357 30.5383 3 40.0 8.1397 30.5563 5 41.0 8.1341 30.5804 4 41.9 8.1316 30.5897 5 42.8 8.1331 30.5921 4
