Many cast files were heavily corrupted and unusable. For some the downcast section was corrupted, but the upcast was better. There was no salinity calibration sampling; no recalibration was applied. SeaCat salinity is prone to error due to a mismatch of conductivity and temperature response times, especially when the descent rate is non-uniform. Such errors are likely to be larger than calibration errors. SeaCat salinity errors are expected to be as high as 0.05 units in areas of high gradients. **************************************************************************** !--1--- ---2---- ---3---- -4-- !Pressu Temperat Salinity Numb !re ure :T0:C0 er_o ! ~bin ! _rec ! ords !------ -------- -------- ---- *END OF HEADER 1.0 13.9769 5.3987 19 1.9 14.0052 5.4236 13 2.9 12.9094 7.3504 12 3.9 11.7201 13.1637 12 4.9 9.4562 27.6675 11 5.9 9.1266 28.9218 11 6.9 8.9086 29.1375 12 7.9 8.6194 29.4361 11 8.9 8.3555 29.6865 12 9.9 8.2062 29.8260 11 10.9 8.1301 29.9063 12 11.9 8.1223 29.9222 12 12.9 8.0723 29.9639 12 13.9 7.9764 30.0145 12 14.9 7.8430 30.1065 12 15.9 7.7684 30.1539 13 16.9 7.7364 30.1840 13 17.7 7.6844 30.2450 9
