CTDEDIT was used to remove surface records to 7db and many records corrupted by shed wakes; salinity was cleaned. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Transmissivity and fluorescence are nominal and unedited except that some records were removed in editing temperature and salinity. The dissolved oxygen data in the CTD files should be considered • ±0.8ml/l from 0 –250db • ±0.2ml/l below 250 • data below 1200db are considered unreliable by the manufacturer. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- CTDEDIT was used to remove transmissivity data from 390db down. ************************************************************************ The oxygen saturation at the surface was low, ~79%, and it increased from 0 to 32m; the upcast data looks well-mixed and higher at those depths. Cast #55 showed similar behaviour with surface saturation ~86%. The sensor was being used for the first time. The oxygen data appear to settle down at 35m and below that depth upcast data are reasonably close to downcast data. After cast #55 the DO sensor behaved normally. The temperature, salinity and density also differ somewhat from other nearby casts, but are well-mixed to 60m, and downcasts and upcasts are very close.
