CTDEDIT was used to remove surface records to about 6.5db and records around 8-9db; salinity was cleaned lightly. ************************************************************************************ Fluorescence data are nominal and unedited except that some records were removed in editing temperature and salinity. There were problems in the salinity data for casts #244–250, 256-268, 277, 283, 289 and 379. Large unstable features and large differences between downcast and upcast were noted. The trouble appears to be due to problems in the pump or conductivity cell, possibly involving ice in the cell. Secondary sensors or upcast data were chosen where appropriate (noted in the individual headers), but all data from those casts should be considered of lower quality since there is no calibration sampling from the depths where the problems were noted. ************************************************************************************ !--1--- ---2---- ---3--- ---4---- -5-- !Pressu Temperat Fluores Salinity Numb !re ure: cence: :T0:C0 er_o !
