The average of 2 samples is reported. Variability is assessed as the % (std dev/mean*100). For analysis results, see file "2006-09-chl.xls". Salinity samples were collected in glass bottles and analyzed on Guildline Autosal model 8400B at IOS. Salinometers are standardized with IAPSO standard seawater. For analysis results see file "2006-09sal.xls". Nutrient samples were collected in plastic test tubes and stored frozen and later analysed at IOS using a Technicon AAII autoanalyzer following methods described in Barwell-Clarke and Whitney (1996). For most samples the CTD was stopped at about 15m and CTD data were taken from the downcast at 10db. There were a few samples from other depths and CTD data are from appropriate levels. For some casts there were no CTD data available at the sampling level. Fluorescence data are nominal. There were problems in the salinity data for casts #244–250, 256-268, 277, 283, 289 and 379. Large unstable features and large differences between downcast and upcast were noted. The trouble appears to be due to problems in the pump or conductivity cell, possibly involving ice in the cell. Secondary sensors or upcast data were chosen where appropriate, but all data from those casts should be considered of lower quality since there is no calibration sampling from the depths where the problems were noted.
