Oxygen samples are analyzed on an automated Winkler titration system following the procedures of Carpenter (1965). A Brinkmann model 665 Dosimat and model PC910 Colorimeter is controlled by Visual-Basic program to titrate the oxygen samples. Chlorophyll samples were analyzed at IOS by Linda White using the Chemistry Turner Model 10 Fluorometer. The fluorometer was calibrated against pure chlorophyll a (from Sigma) on February 17, 2005. Three fluorometers were intercalibrated in February 2005 and the data is included on the "Intercal" spreadsheet Dissolved inorganic carbon (DIC) was determined using coulometric analysis. Total alkalinity (Alk) was determined by potentiometric titration. Complete documentation on DIC and ALK sampling, analysis and precision estimates can be found in the Carbon Excel file from the cruise located in the cruise "DOC" directory. . References: 1.
