The average of 2 samples is reported. Variability is assessed as the % (std dev/mean*100). For analysis results, see file "2005-28chlarc.xls". Salinity samples were collected in glass bottles and analyzed on Guildline Autosal model 8400B at IOS. Salinometers are standardized with IAPSO standard seawater. For analysis results see file "2005-28-sal.xls". ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- CTD Data Processing Notes: ---------------------- A Niskin bottle was attached about 5m above the CTD. For most samples the CTD was stopped at about 15m and CTD data were taken from the downcast at 10db. There were a few deep samples with CTD data 5m above. For some casts there were no CTD data available at the sampling level. The salinity calibration at rest is considered ±0.002psu. Other instrumental errors, including variations in alignment due to descent rate variations, are expected to cause errors in salinity of up to 0.01psu in high gradient areas and much smaller errors at depth. For details on the processing see processing report: 2005-28-Processing_Report.doc. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- !-1-- --2--- --3--- ---4---- ---5---- --6--- 7- !Samp Depth: Pressu Temperat Salinity Chloro Fl !le_ Nomina re ure: :T0:C0 phyll: ag !Numb l Primary Extrac ~a !er ted ct ! ed !---- ------ ------ -------- -------- ------ -- *END OF HEADER 98 10.0 6.0 10.4569 27.4398 0.11 6
