The errors caused by this are partly addressed in the recalibration. The sensor performance was aided by the fact that local vertical gradients were frequently low. While the CTD fluorescence data are expressed in concentration units, they do not always compare well to extracted chlorophyll samples. No chlorophyll sample data were available for this cruise at the time of processing.
