CTDEDIT was used to remove many bad records and to clean salinity. There were major problems with noise due to electrical problems. It primarily affected the primary temperature and all values derived from primary temperature, but also affected other channels. The worst problems were in casts 6, 10, 12 and 14, but all data should be used with caution. The temperature data is considered to be of lower quality than usual for this instrument. The transmissivity, dissolved oxygen and fluorescence are unedited, except where records were removed in the editing of temperature and salinity.
