The pressures of the bottle trips are also from the uncorrected upcast data. Dissolved oxygen concentrations were determined using an automated Titration system consisting of a Brinkman Dosimat (model 665) and a PC 900 Colorimeter. Nutrients were measured using an Autoanalyzer II, following the Procedures outlined in 'Institute of Ocean Sciences Nutrient Methods and Analysis, Barwell-Clarke and Whitney, 1997'. The samples were frozen on board and brought back to IOS for analysis. Nitrate/silicate samples were defrosted for about 24 h before analysis. Phosphate samples were rapidly defrosted in moving room temperature air or warm water. Lab temperature was noted periodically, and may be found on the original data sheets; it was generally around 26 C. See file 9814nutr.xls for details on the analysis, turbidity corrections and calibration for the nutrient data. For nutrients, total of 189 samples were measured and of these, 25 samples were measured in duplicate to estimate variability and the pooled standard deviations are as follows: Nitrate Sp=0.37 uM; Silicate Sp=0.72 uM; Phosphate Sp=0.042 uM. *INSTRUMENT TYPE : Bottle MODEL : Niskin 10 Litre !-1-- --2--- ---3---- ---4---- --5-- ---6--- ---7---- !Samp Pressu Temperat Salinity Trans Oxygen: Salinity !le_ re ure: :T0:C0 missi Dissolv :Bottle !Numb Primary vity ed !er !---- ------ -------- -------- ----- ------- -------- *END OF HEADER 1501 0.4 14.5781 21.3412 20.0 5.944 -99.0000 1500 10.4 10.2035 31.8102 59.2 2.933 -99.0000 1499 20.6 9.6856 32.0671 61.4 1.833 -99.0000 1498 30.4 9.5585 32.1646 62.0 1.754 -99.0000 1497 50.3 9.6420 32.3222 60.1 3.509 -99.0000 1496 75.0 9.6030 32.3912 56.1 3.891 -99.0000 1495 100.1 9.5596 32.4185 54.6 4.010 -99.0000 1494 124.7 9.4175 32.4827 52.2 4.204 -99.0000 1493 150.0 9.2092 32.5758 50.3 3.800 -99.0000 1492 175.1 8.5027 32.8238 62.9 0.478 -99.0000 1491 200.0 8.3676 32.9408 59.1 0.258 32.9456 1490 249.1 8.3178 32.9875 53.8 0.185 32.9894 1489 279.5 8.3105 32.9969 38.7 0.116 32.9978
