The pressures of the bottle trips are also from the uncorrected upcast data. Dissolved oxygen concentrations were determined using an automated Titration system consisting of a Brinkman Dosimat (model 665) and a PC 900 Colorimeter. Nutrients were measured using an Autoanalyzer II, following the Procedures outlined in 'Institute of Ocean Sciences Nutrient Methods and Analysis, Barwell-Clarke and Whitney, 1997'. The samples were frozen on board and brought back to IOS for analysis. Nitrate/silicate samples were defrosted for about 24 h before analysis. Phosphate samples were rapidly defrosted in moving room temperature air or warm water. Lab temperature was noted periodically, and may be found on the original data sheets; it was generally around 26 C. See file 9814nutr.xls for details on the analysis, turbidity corrections and calibration for the nutrient data. For nutrients, total of 189 samples were measured and of these, 25 samples were measured in duplicate to estimate variability and the pooled standard deviations are as follows: Nitrate Sp=0.37 uM; Silicate Sp=0.72 uM; Phosphate Sp=0.042 uM. *INSTRUMENT TYPE : Bottle MODEL : Niskin 10 Litre !-1-- --2--- ---3---- ---4---- --5-- ---6--- ---7---- !Samp Pressu Temperat Salinity Trans Oxygen: Salinity !le_ re ure: :T0:C0 missi Dissolv :Bottle !Numb Primary vity ed !er !---- ------ -------- -------- ----- ------- -------- *END OF HEADER 1050 0.6 16.9794 22.5388 50.9 6.601 -99.0000 1049 10.4 10.0728 30.5068 29.8 6.522 -99.0000 1048 20.6 9.4306 31.0927 60.5 4.849 -99.0000 1047 30.5 9.2955 31.3034 64.0 4.879 -99.0000 1046 50.9 8.9620 31.8239 65.6 4.429 -99.0000 1045 75.7 8.4169 32.5798 65.4 3.244 -99.0000 1044 100.5 7.6774 33.3226 64.7 2.961 -99.0000 1043 125.5 7.3809 33.4340 63.3 2.763 -99.0000 1042 150.2 7.1716 33.5010 63.1 2.648 -99.0000 1041 174.7 7.0514 33.5413 63.0 2.552 -99.0000 1040 199.9 6.9463 33.5717 62.7 2.482 -99.0000 1039 250.0 6.8363 33.5910 62.6 2.429 -99.0000 1038 300.5 6.7987 33.6007 61.7 2.390 -99.0000 1037 400.1 6.7572 33.6261 60.5 2.309 33.6290 1036 463.5 6.7590 33.6279 56.4 2.268 33.6298
