The pressures of the bottle trips are also from the uncorrected upcast data. Dissolved oxygen concentrations were determined using an automated Titration system consisting of a Brinkman Dosimat (model 665) and a PC 900 Colorimeter. Nutrients were measured using an Autoanalyzer II, following the Procedures outlined in 'Institute of Ocean Sciences Nutrient Methods and Analysis, Barwell-Clarke and Whitney, 1997'. The samples were frozen on board and brought back to IOS for analysis. Nitrate/silicate samples were defrosted for about 24 h before analysis. Phosphate samples were rapidly defrosted in moving room temperature air or warm water. Lab temperature was noted periodically, and may be found on the original data sheets; it was generally around 26 C. See file 9814nutr.xls for details on the analysis, turbidity corrections and calibration for the nutrient data. For nutrients, total of 189 samples were measured and of these, 25 samples were measured in duplicate to estimate variability and the pooled standard deviations are as follows: Nitrate Sp=0.37 uM; Silicate Sp=0.72 uM; Phosphate Sp=0.042 uM. *INSTRUMENT TYPE : Bottle MODEL : Niskin 10 Litre !-1-- --2--- ---3---- ---4---- --5-- ---6--- ---7---- !Samp Pressu Temperat Salinity Trans Oxygen: Salinity !le_ re ure: :T0:C0 missi Dissolv :Bottle !Numb Primary vity ed !er !---- ------ -------- -------- ----- ------- -------- *END OF HEADER 1035 0.4 16.9375 21.5390 47.3 6.489 -99.0000 1034 10.3 9.9525 30.5812 20.5 5.407 -99.0000 1033 20.4 9.5675 31.1648 63.0 4.684 -99.0000 1032 30.6 9.3376 31.4065 65.0 4.730 -99.0000 1031 49.7 8.9251 32.0521 65.7 4.059 -99.0000 1030 74.7 7.9144 33.0305 65.2 2.881 -99.0000 1029 99.8 7.5185 33.3835 64.1 2.842 -99.0000 1028 125.1 7.3323 33.4489 63.5 2.749 -99.0000 1027 150.3 7.1749 33.5012 63.2 2.658 -99.0000 1026 174.6 7.0572 33.5401 63.0 2.571 -99.0000 1025 200.1 6.9612 33.5671 63.2 2.505 -99.0000 1024 250.1 6.8707 33.5899 63.2 2.445 -99.0000 1023 299.9 6.8431 33.5974 61.9 2.404 -99.0000 1022 399.8 6.8228 33.6060 62.5 2.397 33.6085 1021 489.1 6.8249 33.6081 60.9 2.379 33.6104
