The pressures of the bottle trips are also from the uncorrected upcast data. Dissolved oxygen concentrations were determined using an automated Titration system consisting of a Brinkman Dosimat (model 665) and a PC 900 Colorimeter. Nutrients were measured using an Autoanalyzer II, following the Procedures outlined in 'Institute of Ocean Sciences Nutrient Methods and Analysis, Barwell-Clarke and Whitney, 1997'. The samples were frozen on board and brought back to IOS for analysis. Nitrate/silicate samples were defrosted for about 24 h before analysis. Phosphate samples were rapidly defrosted in moving room temperature air or warm water. Lab temperature was noted periodically, and may be found on the original data sheets; it was generally around 26 C. See file 9814nutr.xls for details on the analysis, turbidity corrections and calibration for the nutrient data. For nutrients, total of 189 samples were measured and of these, 25 samples were measured in duplicate to estimate variability and the pooled standard deviations are as follows: Nitrate Sp=0.37 uM; Silicate Sp=0.72 uM; Phosphate Sp=0.042 uM. *INSTRUMENT TYPE : Bottle MODEL : Niskin 10 Litre !-1-- --2--- ---3---- ---4---- --5-- ---6--- ---7---- !Samp Pressu Temperat Salinity Trans Oxygen: Salinity !le_ re ure: :T0:C0 missi Dissolv :Bottle !Numb Primary vity ed !er !---- ------ -------- -------- ----- ------- -------- *END OF HEADER 773 0.4 16.0386 11.3789 31.5 6.771 -99.0000 772 10.8 8.7944 30.2348 48.4 4.812 -99.0000 771 21.3 8.4312 30.9026 59.8 4.384 -99.0000 770 31.0 8.3978 31.5299 64.5 4.195 -99.0000 769 51.0 8.3905 31.8854 65.2 3.891 -99.0000 768 76.2 8.2808 32.3278 65.2 3.630 -99.0000 767 101.0 8.2369 32.6111 64.7 3.589 -99.0000 766 125.3 8.2061 32.7585 64.6 3.570 -99.0000 765 150.6 8.1044 32.9357 64.1 3.553 -99.0000 764 175.7 7.9611 33.0863 63.4 3.420 -99.0000 763 201.2 7.8936 33.1354 63.0 3.375 -99.0000 762 250.8 7.8074 33.1907 62.2 3.606 33.1934 761 275.5 7.8003 33.1956 60.9 3.264 33.1970 760 326.6 7.8036 33.1969 61.0 3.281 33.1982
