The pressures of the bottle trips are also from the uncorrected upcast data. Dissolved oxygen concentrations were determined using an automated Titration system consisting of a Brinkman Dosimat (model 665) and a PC 900 Colorimeter. Nutrients were measured using an Autoanalyzer II, following the Procedures outlined in 'Institute of Ocean Sciences Nutrient Methods and Analysis, Barwell-Clarke and Whitney, 1997'. The samples were frozen on board and brought back to IOS for analysis. Nitrate/silicate samples were defrosted for about 24 h before analysis. Phosphate samples were rapidly defrosted in moving room temperature air or warm water. Lab temperature was noted periodically, and may be found on the original data sheets; it was generally around 26 C. See file 9814nutr.xls for details on the analysis, turbidity corrections and calibration for the nutrient data. For nutrients, total of 189 samples were measured and of these, 25 samples were measured in duplicate to estimate variability and the pooled standard deviations are as follows: Nitrate Sp=0.37 uM; Silicate Sp=0.72 uM; Phosphate Sp=0.042 uM. *INSTRUMENT TYPE : Bottle MODEL : Niskin 10 Litre !-1-- --2--- ---3---- ---4---- --5-- ---6--- ---7---- !Samp Pressu Temperat Salinity Trans Oxygen: Salinity !le_ re ure: :T0:C0 missi Dissolv :Bottle !Numb Primary vity ed !er !---- ------ -------- -------- ----- ------- -------- *END OF HEADER 566 0.4 12.7814 26.3079 19.4 8.372 -99.0000 565 10.2 9.6008 29.2918 34.9 6.065 -99.0000 564 20.6 9.1035 30.1094 58.6 5.288 -99.0000 563 31.0 9.4360 30.5072 49.5 5.506 -99.0000 562 50.2 9.2995 30.7240 50.8 5.284 -99.0000 561 74.6 9.0754 31.1086 50.7 4.940 -99.0000 560 100.0 8.9591 31.2669 54.2 4.837 -99.0000 559 124.6 8.8833 31.4732 51.9 4.758 -99.0000 558 150.0 8.8777 31.5235 50.6 4.717 -99.0000 557 175.3 8.8734 31.5662 48.4 4.699 -99.0000 556 201.2 8.8713 31.5942 44.4 4.677 31.5974 555 237.3 8.8696 31.6193 37.8 4.630 31.6218
