The pressures of the bottle trips are also from the uncorrected upcast data. Dissolved oxygen concentrations were determined using an automated Titration system consisting of a Brinkman Dosimat (model 665) and a PC 900 Colorimeter. Nutrients were measured using an Autoanalyzer II, following the Procedures outlined in 'Institute of Ocean Sciences Nutrient Methods and Analysis, Barwell-Clarke and Whitney, 1997'. The samples were frozen on board and brought back to IOS for analysis. Nitrate/silicate samples were defrosted for about 24 h before analysis. Phosphate samples were rapidly defrosted in moving room temperature air or warm water. Lab temperature was noted periodically, and may be found on the original data sheets; it was generally around 26 C. See file 9814nutr.xls for details on the analysis, turbidity corrections and calibration for the nutrient data. For nutrients, total of 189 samples were measured and of these, 25 samples were measured in duplicate to estimate variability and the pooled standard deviations are as follows: Nitrate Sp=0.37 uM; Silicate Sp=0.72 uM; Phosphate Sp=0.042 uM. *INSTRUMENT TYPE : Bottle MODEL : Niskin 10 Litre !-1-- --2--- ---3---- ---4---- --5-- ---6--- ---7---- !Samp Pressu Temperat Salinity Trans Oxygen: Salinity !le_ re ure: :T0:C0 missi Dissolv :Bottle !Numb Primary vity ed !er !---- ------ -------- -------- ----- ------- -------- *END OF HEADER 411 0.6 15.1685 3.2577 0.1 8.106 -99.0000 410 10.4 10.3293 27.5443 43.5 4.661 -99.0000 409 20.4 9.7428 28.3070 54.3 4.489 -99.0000 408 30.4 8.9932 28.5321 57.4 4.366 -99.0000 407 50.6 8.0779 28.7611 59.2 3.906 -99.0000 406 75.4 8.6076 29.2399 60.4 3.488 -99.0000 405 100.4 8.8790 29.8018 61.2 3.109 -99.0000 404 126.1 9.0830 30.0134 63.6 3.226 -99.0000 403 150.5 9.1010 30.1021 62.8 3.155 -99.0000 402 175.4 9.0811 30.2094 64.4 2.848 30.2116 401 200.6 8.9176 30.2671 65.3 2.568 30.2672 400 251.4 9.0186 30.3896 65.3 2.460 30.3914 399 301.0 8.9307 30.4507 63.2 2.295 30.4485 398 400.1 9.0913 30.6384 60.4 2.172 30.6410 397 500.6 9.2146 30.7105 62.3 1.996 30.7116 396 558.5 9.2405 30.7246 58.4 1.871 30.7254
